Past Their Prime

Polbain, Inverpolly, Scotland

They certainly aren't seaworthy but as a photographer I might argue they were actually in their prime. I feel exactly the same way about castles the more ruined they are the more attractive photographically I find them to be. These decrepit old boats are hauled out on a stony beach on the extreme west coast of the Inverpolly coast at Polbain where there are a number of other old unseaworthy relics.

Hi Amy

The symmetry is a bit static...
Here's a thought for your consideration:
Meaning is enhanced when we incorporate opposites. Rough against smooth, old against new, kinetic against fixed, etc. So what is the opposite of Symmetry? The most useful and attainable concept is asymmetry; I.e. an asymmetrical viewpoint of a symmetrical scene. It's worth a try or two.
