Winter in Glencoe and I headed straight for Rannoch moor with its open vista across sunken bogs and a backdrop of fine snow capped peaks beneath which fiery red bracken glows in enthusiastic opposition to the cold blue sky and icy stiff reeds. The island tree is one of the most photographed in Britain let alone in Scotland but here it is of secondary interest, the colours and texture being my priority.
