Twin Suns

Cowichan Bay

My slip on that tree stump may have done in more then my back. I noticed a very small chip in the glass of my 24 to 120 Nikon lens. After doing a lot of research and checking my pockets I picked up the Sigma 18 to 200 OS HSM lens. With $75 back for any old lens it was a good deal. So I gave them an old Pro Speck broken lens I had and headed out to the wharf to try it out. Although its not a Nikon and slower at 200mm then the Nikon, for hundreds less this is a very good lens for the money.

Nikon D300 ,Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS
1/640s f/16.0 at 18.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Sorry to hear about your back and the lens chip. Still, looks like you came out on top (in both ways). Soft, wintery ambiance and a nice capture of the 'twin suns'.

Looks like you did alright. I love the winter colours at Cow Bay.
