Primeval

Quiraing, Skye, Scotland

This is about as close to a snap shot as I've taken in years. Normally everything is carefully considered but as I turned around to confront the sunlight peeping around the clouds I realised I would have just seconds until the sun became ridiculously harsh and the scene unmanageably full of contrast and flare prone. The bushy tree in front broke up the direct light just enough to permit a view of the rolling Quiraing and its dimpled green beize covering of soft grass lighting up.
