These boulders move around the lake bed on their own and no one has ever seen one move... The best theory anyone has come up with is after rare rain, the mud is so slippery that the wind can blow the rocks over the surface.
It certainly lends itself to making great photographs. Waiting for the sun to set I experimented with various field of views and compositions. A nice easy shot; no clouds, water, wind or life to think about, which allowed me to concentrate purely of composition, framing, warm light and shadow. Oh, and getting back down the 35km rough track in a 2WD vehicle before dark!
