red castle sunset.jpg

A rugged mountain peak in one of Utah's most remote locations, Red Castle Peak glows in light that makes it's way under incoming storm clouds. The next morning, my tent was covered with 5 inches of new snow. Having backpacked the 13 miles into the lake alone, I gathered my gear and packed out before the snow got too deep.

Thank you for bringing such natural beauty to those of us who will never experience it in person. Were you at all concerned about your safety among wildlife in such a remote area? Voted.
