Like a pilgrimage for an ageing mod like me.. The first time I saw Paul Weller play live he was still fronting The Jam. It was in 1980 at Glasgow's Apollo. It cost £3.50. I still have the ticket stub somewhere. I've seen him since - when he was in the vastly under-rated Style Council (just listen to some of their stuff now, and you'll see what I mean), then a couple of time in the late 80s and early 90s. I can never tire of him. Now I just have to wait until the end of November.
