YES! Finally at the end of the hike I found the best prize of all. There was only one plant
blooming. Several more small ones were growing nearby. I never get tired of seeing this stately
wildflower. It's one of my favorites. It's always a thrill to find. Not to far away from this spot
was a colony of G. spectabilis. None in bloom though :( Still with these two find, I counted five
species of wild orchids at Swift Creek.
