I have no idea what this plant is, but it seemed weird-enough looking to photograph.
I think it has a chance of getting a part in a B grade sci-fi movie.
(Edit August 2021: 15 years later, I still have no idea what it is, despite the Web being a far more sophisticated place than it once was. I looked up the National Parks And Wildlife Service (NPWS) and found a page which had an illustrated list of plants and animals that you may encounter in our national parks, yay! Apparently there are only about 15 plants that you may encounter, of which this is not one. Yay indeed.
Even the spiky seedpods didn't help. They look a bit like Jimsonweed seedpods... but the rest of the plant doesn't. If you have a better insight, any comments are welcome.)
