I love Medium format Yashicas, I have a Mat 124 G (that I am using a lot) and a charming LM44 that unfortunately need a CLA in order to be usable again. This shot is super and the camera is very beautiful. These classic cameras can be bought in many cases, with such a minimum amount of money if we compare to some of the most advertised digital models. I am not against digital (that I am using regularly) but when I use these old ladies, I have the impression that the act of photography is entirely and complitely in the hands (and eyes) of the photographer with all the difficulties that the lack of authomatism implies but with a greater challenge and pleasure.

Very beautiful camera !!! I'm thinking of buying one for me too !
And yes,you are absolutely right about what one should ask himself about the price!
(I would find the question appropriate even for a Hasselblad ! )
It's just that with a digital camera you can spare the hours you have spent on scanning,
besides the fact that the depth of a negative can't be always reproduced correctly by
a scan . . .
Hi Michael. Thanks for the note. Actually, although every camera is 'valuable' to me, the "going rate" is only about USD$70 I guess. For anyone looking to buy a $1500 digital camera though, first ask yourself, "is it 21 times better than the Yashica-D". :-)
Very nice photo!
Extremely valuable camera!! I own one of these (Mine is not in such a good external condition, but is perfectly working with excellent Yshikor lens))and frequently enjoy using it.
