Mike and Marilynn stroll on the Philosopher's walk, a pleasant, tree-lined path along the eastern edge of Kyoto. It gets its name from a Kyoto University philosophy professor, Nishida Kitaro, used it for daily meditation. It passes several temples and shrines.
