Fantastic! Going through all of these pictures is a true treat. If I ever made it to Hawaii, I'd want to find all the spots from the series, but I'd probably drive my wife crazy doing it! Thanks for doing this!

It was my impression when I visited the estate, from the outside of course, that the gate house was used as the guest house. Its entrance is from the second floor and you can see the bedroom window. It would seem odd to go back to Hollywood for those scenes when you are shooting the series in Hawaii. Additionally, Tom had a home at the base of Diamond Head during the shooting period, next to Carol Burnetts.

Malia: You may not ever see this but if you do, I'd love to "chat" with you about the construction and layout of the boathouse!!

Thanks for the note! Especially I did not knew that "Magnum's Home" was in fact a "Boat House"! I appreciate the information! You must have indeed most wonderful memories of these premises.

Now that I know about the Boat house, I understand the shape and size of the door and the fence gate to the beach. This makes sense. Thanks for visiting the site, me and Jinny appreciate very much. We will post soon many new images from your wonderful Islands and we also have more from Samoa and Fiji.

I loved your pictures, but especially this one of "The Boat house" or Magnum's home. Growing up, I lived about 3 houses away from this estate, and I and the caretaker's daughter used the entire property as our playground. No one lived in the main house at that time ( about 1959+ )and it was a great experience. I have so many wonderful memories of hours spent playing on the grounds. At that time, there were no tennis courts yet, and there were a lot more trees and shrubs. The caretaker's 2 story home was near the main gated entrance. They had a mean old "poi-dog" chained to a tree to scare off any trespassers. AH.....to be young again would be grand.
