IMHO... not BW... maybe a bit of a reduction in saturation overall... but... This is really marvelous in color. I think BW would be a let down. The blue is a bit over the top as it is... but still better than BW, IMO. I like the whole of it, Barry. Well done. !Lydia

BUT - to see the color of the blue jeans FIRST may be a good thing... when I originally looked at this image that was what I was thinking too but, after repeated views, I believe the dark blue creates visual depth (by then making you look up and through). It's a really interesting photo.
Now, with all that said ... I think I would still like to see it in b/w.

I love the concept and the execution. But every time I look at this all I see are blue jeans. To me the color is a distraction.

I commented on this earlier but I probably forgot to click Add Comment. Most of the superlatives have already ( and rightfully) been used! I'll just add that I'm SO glad you posted it. What a great image! -dtallakson

Thanks for the comments - was having fun with Flash, Fisheye and FF Sensor - really gained a whole new appreciation for my WA lenses since going FF. And this fisheye is just too much fun. With it's close focus capability and extreme DOF I was able to use my reflection in the front element to frame this shot (My hands were only inches away from the lens) It's just another great thing about these challenges that make you think about and use your gear in new ways - Thanks for the great topic dt!

Just framing this is a feat. Dramatic composition works well. I find the remaining blue to be a distraction. -tv

Amazing image I really like this a lot. The composition is great and the range of dark blue tones combined with the selective B&W is a stroke of genius.
