I intentionally waited until close to sunset this evening and took a walk down the beach. I wanted to play with the low lighting as well as attempt some backlighting shots. I took several, but I was particularly pleased with this one.
The gentleman on the left was a fellow photographer that I watched in the distance for some time. He had his camera on a tripod and would set the timer, run down to the waves, pose, and then go back to check his results. He never could quite get what he wanted.
Another person walking along the beach also noticed his efforts and I could tell by the conversation in the distance that he had offered help. The photographer showed him what buttons to press on the camera, then he went down to the waves and posed again while the kind stranger snapped the shot for him.
Eventually, I reached his location and asked if he'd managed to get the shot he wanted. He had.
We visited for a bit and it turned out he was also here on a company trip, staying at the resort next to ours. He was here from Denver.
