Tunning the MPS-11

Let's see ... how was it? I think we used this scope to monitor the returns and then peak the sensitivity of the receiver by maximizing the strength of the reflected signal from a known object. I do remember we had to stop the rotation of the antenna for awhile in order to perform the check. This test equipment was set up right next to the trailer containing the MPS-11 and under the lift-up side panels.

Amazing that an 18-year-old mind absorbed all that stuff! At 72, all I remember is 270 degrees, 12,400 ft . . . but that was the MPS-4, wasn't it?
