"A Blast from the Past ... Sixties Style"

My old Spirograph. The date on the box says 1967.
It stinks when your childhood toys are considered collectible antiques.

Oh my I had one too!! They must have sold loads.
I'm not sure if I have the remnants of mine hidden away or not, but it was in quite a state last time I saw it.

Most frustrating "game" ever invented....I always seemed to managed to smudge my creation on the last few spins!!!!
J. Scott Coile11-Dec-2008 21:38

Jeff Lobaugh11-Dec-2008 21:31
I know what this is, but ask a child of today that same question. A Spiro what?
Dan Chusid11-Dec-2008 19:16

I played hours with mine, I see this is an original with pins.
I lent my to a teacher at school, he never returned it. By the
time I bought another 'health and safety' had stopped the use of pins!!
It was never the same. Such Happy memories.

I had an earlier version made of metal. It had been my Mom's when she was a kid in the 20's and 30's. Now you can get a program to make those designs...
Good entry.
