Gushing Forth

Lower Falls, Glencoe, Scotland.

A wonderful location with a fan shaped falls dropping a little over eight feet into a splash pool. The water is actually quite clear but the low angle sun is of such a low colour temperature the foaming water has turned creamy yellow and the surrounding rocks and trees glow like golden nuggets. I waited until I had the best mix of dappled blue sky and a little light had painted itself over the background hills before taking the shot.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Beautiful Ian, cracking composition, wonderfully blurred water with everything else razor-sharp. You've chosen such an effective PoV, and have controlled the lighting and exposure of the distant slopes really well...great stuff! V
