Yes a long time ago after a trip down south, where I spent most of my time just sitting and travelling and spending on fares, I completely changed my way of travelling, more like living in an area now, where you move once in a while.
Such a big country...we do tend to cram too much in. Best idea is to pick a place to base yourself at, then explore in an axis....I always feel sorry for our overseas visitors, their tour operators have them spending most of their time on planes travelling from state to state....!!
The noisy monsters will have the bark stripped off this tree in no time :>)
