Yes, I think this works better Stewart, good job! This is a strong composition with a lot of interest throughout, and I think the desaturated effect suits it better than the original shot. The pale hints of blue lifts the whole photo, contrasting with the pale beiges and yellows of the foreground bale. The two halves complement each other much better now, others may disagree of course...:o)
