The soft, muted colors are a lovely backdrop to the central player in your image. I like the addition of the leaf.

Your lovely image reminds me of the sensibility of my friend Tim May (http://www.pbase.com/mityam/image/35943560 ) who has often found eloquent symbolism in lonely, detached, dead leaves. The birds seem go give it space here.
