Golden Pavilion 1 (Kinkaku-ji)

Look! There is a phoenix on the top of Golden Pavilion. The formal name of Kinkaku-ji is called Rokuon-ji (Deer Garden Temple).
In English, Kinkaku-ji is Golden Pavilion Temple. As the major building of Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) is coated by pure gold leaf, so it has the another name "Kinkaku-ji".
The original Golden Pavilion was burned down by a monk in 1950. The existing one was rebuilt in 1955.
