I love the diversity of this image from swaying grass, to rippling sea, to jostling dwellings and then set in contrast, the majestic design of the hotel drowning amongst the new order - if an image could tell a story this does of the modern world!
Nick, you asked for feedback on why this hasn't had much interest...For me, I don't think the landscape layout works with this composition - it's too static, with too many regularly spaced straight horizontal lines and nothing to break them up. It's also too centrally orientated with the shore and sea meeting exactly half-way up the frame. It could also do with a bit of contrast and a tad more saturation. To remedy it, try doing a portrait crop with the hotel as the subject, maybe even losing a bit of the grass at the bottom so that the subject's not dead centre, and putting in a curve or a touch of levels. You could try dodging & burning the hotel reflection in the water as well to bring that out...There's definitely something there though, so worth persevering...good luck!
