The bearded sailor in picture A136099-v6.jpg is my father Leslie Walker,C.D. He was the proudest sailor I've ever met. He passed away 8 Nov. 2009 at the age of 91 yrs. with a picture of the HMCS Uganda on the wall over his head. He has been buried with his Uganda crest with him. His #'d print picture is being donated in his name to the Naval Museum at HMCS Chippawa where he remained a reservist from 1951 until 1975 when he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer.
Wish your father the best from me!

My father Leslie Walker seen above is presently a resident at the Deer Lodge Center in Wpg. He will be 91 yrs on 13 Sept 2009. His room proudly boasts a large Ink painting of the HMCS Uganda and the 2nd floor gallery has a stained glass hanging of the ship, which he salutes whenever he goes by, even tho he is blind. I would like to print his picture and hang it on his room bulletin board. Thanks
