Utricularia or bladderworts. These plants develop small inconspicious traps buried below ground or underwater.
The trapping mechanism is a small hollow bladder which maintains a low internal pressure to catch
small prey. On one side of the bladder are triggerhairs ,when a minute organism or larvae touch these hairs, cause the entrance to open.
Pressure draws the prey into the bladder where it is killed and digested. The bladders are mostly growing in water-sturated soils.
The flowers are often compared with orchids. The general reason for growers to keep these plants in cultivation!!
