Hey Dad! I'm a little worried that there are not pictures of someone as beautiful as me in you gallery? Is it that you secrety hate me or that my beauty is simply too great to display on a simple web-page? (joking) I love your work Dad. If I can inheirit anything else along with your sense of humor and singing tallent I want it to be your eye for capturing images in photos. I really love your work, and I love you too Dad.

You truly have some of the best pictures of Nashville that I have ever seen. I have lived in the Nashville area for over 10 years and your pictures brought back the original beauty I so fell in love with! I have always wanted to take up photography myself, and your pictures are very inspiring. God Bless!

Hello again Ken and Lori. I had the pleasure of meeting you both in Green Hills about a week and a half ago. (I'm the girl Lori pronounced as "Bit by the bug") you have some really spectacular work on your page. I especailly enjoy the close-up flower shots.
Keep up the good work!

Macro- I love my EF 100 f/2.8 USM Macro. I have also been reading good things about the new Sigma 150 f/2.8 Macro and the Tamron XR Di 90 Macro.

The Canon really should be labeled "L". The build and glass quality are there. It focuses down to about 6" (manually)or about 9" in auto. I have used it as a portrait lens for headshots and really like the DOF and bokeh. I found mine on Ebay for about $350.00 like new.

I think it really comes down to how close you want to be to the subject to go 1:1. The longer macros give you a little room to work away from the subject. For food and floral this isn't really a big deal. For snakes and spiders (and other skiddish insects) it could help.

If you already have a good lense with small minimum focal range, the Kenko extension tubes would be another good alternative at around $150.00 for a set of three with full focus exposure compatability.

You have some wonderful images. I particularly enjoyed your portrait section. You really seem to capture the character of the people you photograph and the technical part of it is done very well. I have bookmarked your photo a day to come back and see what you're up to later. I really enjoy finding new favorite photographers on this sit.

You seem to enjoy Christian might want to take a moment and check out my Michael W. Smith concert gallery. It was just an awesome night of blessings!

Ken and Lori, your photography is wonderful. The art of it, as well as the subject matter and skill in capturing it. The only thing better than having seen it is having met you in "real life." You two are so special. Love you both, Susie in Washington State.

Wow! You guys have very beautifully captured some of God's exquisite handiwork. You should make a slideshow screensaver out of those and award it to the first 10 people who signed in your guestbook. : )

Hi Lori and Ken,

Your photographs are truly lovely. The colors and composition really capture not just the image, but also a sense of the moment in time. Your portraits show forth the personality of your subjects and stand out as unique instead of being just the standard portrait photographs one usually sees.
(Oh, love Ken's bald look, by the way! Way cool!)
It doesn't surprise me that the two of you have a "good eye" for photography, after all you noticed and captured each other!
God bless you,
Jeff Cochran21-Mar-2004 04:32

Dear Ken and Lori,
Thanks for your note re. accommodation in Nashville for Matt.
He'll actually be staying on site, at the University where the course is being held.
He may well then stay on for a week or two with one or two friends he's made on previous visits.
But thanks for your kind offer ~ I'll get back to you if he's stuck for somewhere to stay.
Every blessing,
Carrie 14-Mar-2004 04:55

Hey there -- nice pictures. Who is the photogapher -- Ken or Lori, or is it both of you?

Pictures often convey such meaning, returning us to the NOW, without the distractions of words.
