Despite grey skys and some showers this was a great day out at HMS Heron! (As Yeovilton is a Navy base it gets a ship name).

For me the highlight was the newly restored Sea Fury and Sea Hawk aircraft of the Royal Navy Historical Flight. The maritime assault simulation that ended the display with a display of various helicopters as well as Harriers in action was action packed. As always the Red Arrows put on a splendid display despite the low cloud base.

This was my first visit to Yeovilton, I plan for it not to be my last!
