Jerry, I really like how you composed/cropped this. It makes the open sky seem even more vast as my eyes look up and down to take in your main subjects. Nice color and light here too. Well seen and taken. MFC

It's amazing how that little spot of moon surrounded by that much empty sky can make such a strong image. Like it a lot.

I like the broad expanse of emptiness of this image, Jerry, giving the moon and castle a lot of prominence. Nice light as well. Helen

Weighing in here.....The pic looks dramatic as it is. The castle extends 1/3 the way up the image. Bringing the land to 1/3 would push the castle well over the midpont and lose the moon ....unless you moved it down toward the castle. Roberta makes a good point, but I like it this way. Fremiet

Jerry,
I prefer this one. I think the road in the foreground of the other shot took some of the attention away from the rest of the image. However, the composition might be better with about 1/3 land.

Thanks, Roberta. This better?
Actually, I had problems seeing the moon on the LCD when I was making the shot and, to be sure of getting the moon in the frame, I used the WA extension lens, which made the moon look smaller relative to the tower. Had I known, I would have stuck with the cam native lens, which would have been adequate.

Jerry,
I would crop to zoom in a bit to draw more attention to the moon/sky color and the interesting architecture. I like the warm early light contrasting with the cool snow.
