I took a similar shot a couple of years ago with my Sony H5 small-sensor Superzoom,
but needed to use HDR to capture the whole tonal range here between the sun-dappled rocks and the dense shadow areas.
The A350 dSLR's sensor had no problem with the range.

Instead of using ND filters to get the blur on the water, I just stopped down to f/22 and used 1/5s. This is how I like my blurred water - still with some detail...
