The Bannerman Park Folk Festival is held under the auspices of the St. John's Folk Arts Council and has been held annually for almost 30 years. It runs from Friday evening to Sunday evening each year early in August and showcases the more "folky" entertainers from various parts of Newfoundland with some guests from outside the province.
