July 4 Mystery

Terible problems with the PC over last few days, I installed XP service pack 3
and my machine went into a very fast decline from then on. At one time it would only run for about 1 minute before crashing...

I have managed to uninstalled SP3 and am slowly rebulding all the applications which now do not seem to work
(which include CS3, so I am using other software at the moment....)

A month of Mystery Objects from the forum ::Here::

My Gallery with Images and answers may be seen
::Here::

Correct guesses will be temporarily hidden and the answer will be revealed tomorrow ...

Thanks for all the good guesses yesterday and
for those who were still trying to guess yesderdays mystery object,
.. the answer is …”Newspaper”

End of a battery powered whisk

I thought it was a whisk too until I saw Phillip's comment. Now I can't make up my mind.

Yes, SP3 is designed to fix the "PC is working" issue commonly afflicting XP machines. SP4 will fix Sp3. I obviously have no idea what this beautiful image is of.

if it's not a wisk, it looks like it should do quite well at mashing potatoes!
Guest 04-Jul-2008 22:25
Looks like a latte frother doobrie.

Re SP3 - commiserations, but look on the bright side; it could've been Vista.

a whisk perhaps !!
Carolyn Rasmussen04-Jul-2008 21:40
Cappuccino whisk?
Nicki Thurgar04-Jul-2008 20:22
Yes I would go for whisk... what a pain about the PC... people keep saying to me how iMacs are much better...!!
Laryl04-Jul-2008 16:07
I have no clue at all.. but love your work and this image is just plain fun! hmm. I don't think I've ever seen anything that has this look.. I'll be surprised!
Maaike Huizer04-Jul-2008 14:16
Some sort of whisk i would say.

"all those on a long weekend enjoy this mystery object"... now I'm even more confused. I thought perhaps one of those in-car water boiling gadget thingies that never work, but there's no wire that I can see.
Wondering what sort of long weekends you go on now?!?!?!! ;-)

Ha! I have one of these...it's a old fashioned whisk. Nice Shot!

Re: the computer

I had stopped accepting automatic updates and have un-installed Vista. Updating to Vista was a big mistake and took over a week of full time repairs.
Then I went and bought a iMac.

We can see that it's metal. Maybe a base for some utensil?
I really don't think I have this in my home.

Good detail and DOF.
Guest 04-Jul-2008 12:28
I can tell you it is made of metal. and is round with many circles. and the end that I'm looking at is the handle. but the rest is a mystery to me.

drink mixer..
Yvonne04-Jul-2008 11:18
An egg whisk at an unusual angle?
Faye White04-Jul-2008 11:03
it looks like one of those drink-mixing-pouring thingies. :)
McGarva04-Jul-2008 10:00
