We were down at Torquay visiting our Goddaughter when a number of the congragated families decided top go for a swim. Surf ranged from 1m to 2m.
So we tagged along with camera, lens and tripod.
Most photos were taken using a 10D, Canon TC 2.x and a Canon EF 70-200 2.8L IS, the last couple were taken with the Canon TC 1.4 added to the stack, the lens was wearing a CPL.
Set the camera on the tripod with panning and elevation screw slightly loose, the 70-200IS was in mode 1. This is a great way to shoot action like surfing, great stability from the tripod and IS combined. There is no way I could get most these shots hand holding the lens camera combination.
