Blackcap male, North Ronaldsay, Orkney

The Blackcap was the most frequently found migrant warbler. Most days several could be located in habitat varying from the dense fuschia thickets at Holland House garden to open and windy spots by the sheep dyke. This is a male bird as can be seen from the black capped head. It was sheltering and sunning itself in the lea of the sheep dyke.
