Welcome to my galleries. I took up photography as a serious amateur hobby in 2002 on film (EOS 300) but then moved to digital (EOS10D) in 2004 and 5D Mk2 in December 2008, to take more photo's and learn more.
2015 to 2018 my interest waned a little, particularly with carrying two Canon bodies and around 6 different lenses. My retirement in the summer of 2018 allowed me to make a decision to trade in all my Canon (and Sigma) gear for a Leica M10 and one Summicron f2/35mm ASPH lens. What a liberating experience that decision has turned out to be, with a very steep learning curve in front of me. The camera forces you to think completely differently by paying more attention to light and composition. Focusing is very different, but as you start to get the hang of it, it changes the whole photographic experience. I now realise what I was missing in the last three years.
Of course, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and my Leica gallery is intended to plot this Leica journey.
As I have said before, there is some inspirational work on other galleries by other photographers that just give me more encouragement to improve mine. Any constructive comments on my images, good or bad, would be most appreciated to help me improve.
