Watching the last of Sumatra's once-great tropical rain forest being carved up and loaded onto lorries to be turned later into floorboards and tacky furniture (or oil palm plantations for newly-developed economies)is a dismal sight indeed. I wish you could have shown us some pictures of Sumatran jungle being PRESERVED for future generations to see and marvel at. The flora and fauna of Sumatra's dipterocarp-dominated rain forest is one of the world's least appreciated and most under-rated natural wonders and deserve a better fate than to be consumed by chain saws. These pictures disappoint me greatly. I expected better of all concerned. ps-at the very least you could show some pictures of (jungle) trees being planted in Sumatra!
