A light dusting of snow had fallen on Rannoch moor and almost as quickly melted. I arrived at first light and watched as the first blush of colour warmed the clouds and distant peaks of the Black mount. Here and there small gaps must have opened to the clouds to let weak sunlight paint the snow covered slopes it was obvious this misty covering was thin as some of the mountains had turned blue from reflected skylight promising good photography later in the day.
