Strata.

Hopeman, Moray, Scotland.

A vastly improved scan of an earlier uploaded image that gives you the true detail and luminosity of this scene which was previously absent due to the reduced dynamic range of my elderly flat bed scanner. This rock with its plates of sandsone draws me like a magnet. It is close enough to the sea to receive a good pounding from the surf in less clement conditions and has a delicious weathered appearance to it. On this occasion the setting sun illuminated the cloud base and the reflected light was picked up by the warm coloured rock emphasising its natural colour still further.

NEW!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Aye, nice one.
It reminds me of a similar scene at Fife Ness in first light.... sadly I lack the skill to catch such ephemeral images.
