Tom Na Gruigach

Tom Na Gruigach, Torridon, Scotland.

I uploaded this ones cousin last night i thought you might like to see what i was climbing up.
I've climbed Tom Na Gruigach at least six times now including one winter trip where I camped about 20 metres from the summit through a blizzard. It is a 3000 footer (munro) and a rapid climb being relatively steep. Midway up is this little plateau which offers welcome respite from the long drudge upwards. The plateau is covered with boulders and spikey fire grass festoons the slopes which glow brilliantly in autumn sunlight. This particular day had the most dramatic and theatrical lighting with sunlight peppering the hills through broken cloud. It was a pleasure to be out.

NEW!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

This is sure a beauty. The colors are wonderful and love the drama of the looming storm. Nice! V
