Tenuous Foothold

Bryce Canyon, Utah, USA.

This little tree must surely have the most tenuous foothold on life of any plant. I do hope it is still surviving I photographed it at this spot a few years back both in this gorgeous warm light and again in soft snow. Bryce is the most remarkable of all the American canyons and surely the most photogenic.
