View From An Teallach

An Teallach, Dundonnell, Scotland.

Late afternoon sunlight throws the main edifice of An Teallach into shadow and being backlit there is little detail to be made out. Turn around 180 degrees and the two smaller satelite peaks of the An Teallach ridge are seen one folded red sandstone the other a rather uninspiring and downright dodgy looking pile of loose grey scree. The sharp light helped etch the details crisply and behind is a tremendous moorland sweep of the Dundonnell area.
