Looking like a prehistoric island or a set from Jurassic Park the Old Man of Storr and his basaltic offspring are hit by the first butterscotch rays of a late Summer sunrise. A 4am scramble up to the lofty cliff top viewpoint seems like hard work but the reward is a string of unmatched superlatives.
