A Glimpse of Green

Zion NP, Utah, USA

There are relatively few circumstances that merit good landscape photography in the middle of the day. This is probably one such instance. The canyon walls have picked up bounced light from the sunlit walls out of shot and pushed some reflected light back into the shadows causing the cliff face to glow deep red. New Cotton wood trees fresh with Spring growth grow between the gaps and some are lit by direct sunlight causing them to glow with astonishing brilliance against its complementary backdrop of hot red rock.

The contrast and glow from the tree is amazing. I don't think people believe these colours, and you may have enhanced them. I know that is false - and that you are all about the truth of the scene.
