Strata Orkney

Papa Westray, Orkney, Scotland.

I decided to re-scan and upload a real old favourite of mine. Something about these old stone walls, the machair (meadow flowers), I love the way the wall sags on one side and the layers of stone ripple while overhead a gull floats in a lazy blue summer sky. I was 18 when I took this.

shot on grainy old kodachrome 200 with a polariser, F8 at 1/125 sec handheld. full exif
