Cobbled With Gold

Cove Bay, Hopeman, Moray, Scotland.

Pebbles some the size of footballs, cascade down the beach at Cove Bay right into the sea. Just before sunset a passing storm front breaks and a shower of rain wets the rocks causing those same pebbles to glisten when the last golden rays of sunlight reappear. Golden cobbles lead to a sandstone bluff which contrasts with stunning golden brilliance against a deep blue sky dappled with storm remnant clouds. Truly twas a transient moment.

Great light and textures. I Like the fact that the rock is reflected yet the boulders on the sea floor are seen in the foreground.
