Rannoch

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland.

Probably the most photographed view and tree in Scotland. This is one of the few trees on Rannoch moor a place of enormous desolation and the site of a disused prison. Its isolation is extreme yet it is the most magnificently beautiful place. I photographed the island with its wind scarred tree on a cold frosty afternoon as the light was beginning to fade enjoying the violet colours as day gave way to twilight.

Did you take these images of Scotland while still on planet earth? Truly heavenly, you seem to be able to control and capture light from out of this world.
