Coffee and Caster Sugar

Loch Morlich, Aviemore, Cairngorms, Scotland.

A very heavy snow fall dumped over the peat hags at the edge of Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms. The rich golden colour of the peaty water started to seep through the fresh snow fall, just like white sugar ladled over black coffee. The gorgeous back lighting and the extraordinary sparkle off the new snow created a memorable scene.

Ian, Your photos are amazing, brilliant, beautiful and atistic. I drove all round Scotland by myself last year (67 years old and from Australia) and the beauty of this country still touches me now. I so much want to come back. Congratulations on keeping my memories alive with these stunning photos.
