Torridon Pine Grove

Kinlochewe, Torridon, Scotland

There are a few important Scottish plantations that still have their native trees and Torridon has amongst the finest Scots Pine trees. This particular grove is beside the Torridon river that flows the length of this impressive glen and features some real stunners. Dusted with new fresh snow they become almost but not quite monochromatic. I find this muted palette particularly beguiling.

You describe so well my initial impression -- seemingly monochromatic with subtle hints of color. Very impressive and compelling. V
