The massive shoulder of Dune No. 45 was for the first time that morning un-trodden and believe me that is quite a rare moment even first thing in the morning shortly after sunrise. I positioned myself so that the light cut across the rippled sand in front of me showing off the texture courtesy of the shadows. I carefully positioned two of the prominent skeletal trees in my frame and excluded a coach containing the next bunch of tourists. The caramel sand looks good enough to eat.
