I honestly do not know how I mananged to leave this image off my website as it remains one of my favourites of the time I spent on magnificent Senja Island. Bleak, colourless, clashing lines and shapes, causing compositional anomalies, for all that I love it. Maybe it is the fragility of that delicate birch tree lonely and isolated betwixt the rugged snow blasted peaks and the oh so pale elipse of a shadow beneath the tree on textureless snow.
