I hope that this picture looks just as it was, a very beautiful winter sunrise over the mountains of Senja. In truth I had to work unbelievably hard to get the shot. The tree line was awkward to say the least. I wanted all those spits of land to be uninterrupted by the birch brush, getting higher was all but impossible and I had to juggle with lens position, tripod height, and move back and forward to just barely fit the triangular cusp of the tallest tree between the island and the tip of the isthmus. All this whilst knowing I had but seconds before the contrast would become indescribably high. I am delighted with this one shot, for that is all I had time for.
