A Stone Out Of Place

River Etive, Glencoe, Scotland

I saw that blood red stone sitting in its nest of rock from way back beside the road and I had already decided that it would make a nice shot in overcast conditions. When I got closer it became obvious that red wasn't the only colour on show. The green algae in the river is equal and opposite in hue to the red stone and a blue tinge on the water completed the range of colours all set off very nicely by the cool grey rocks.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

A fine, natural water-sculpted beauty.
